In 2009, NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) celebrates its 25th anniversary. Since its inception a quarter century ago, NBCAM has been at
the forefront of promoting awareness of breast cancer issues and has evolved along with the national dialogue on breast cancer.
Today, NBCAM recognizes that although many great strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, there remains much to be
accomplished. As they celebrate their 25th anniversary, they remain dedicated to educating and empowering women to take charge of their own breast
health by practicing regular self-breast exams to identify any changes, scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms with their healthcare
provider, adhering to prescribed treatment, and knowing the facts about recurrence.
While October is recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the www.NBCAM.org Web site is a year-round resource for breast cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and the general public. We encourage you to visit the site in
October and regularly throughout the year as updated breast cancer information and resources are added.

This is a fabulous idea, and I am happy to participate.
Until the end of October I will donate 10% of the purchase price of any item purchased from my eBay or Etsy store with the word "Pink" in the title,
and I'll match the amount.
I'll be making the donation to the Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation in memory of my mother, Florence Smith, who died of complications of breast
cancer on October 31, 2002.
If you'd like to donate without making a purchase, you

I've promo'd our listings on Facebook and Twitter and have sold one pink item from my web store. How are others doing?
Today I saw a friend at the post office and she just found out she has breast cancer, found none too soon. I am redoubling my concern and
effort, thinking of my friend Julie now too.
