C. 1900 - 1908 white cotton twill ribbon corset with two front stocking suspenders. This particular style of ribbon corset was favored for sporting activities such as horse riding, bicycle riding, tennis, etc as the short shape and the cotton tapes allowed for more "give" of movement during strenuous activities. 24" waist. With only having two stocking suspenders at the front, did not interfere with leg movement during bicycling or horse riding as well.

Ribbon Corset 1900 - 1908

C.1903 - 1906 white sateen Ferris Good Sense Waist corset. This particular model of Ferris Waists with hip lacing was marketed towards sporting use. The cording and the lacing on the hips would have allowed for more movement during sporting activities such as horse or bike riding, tennis or golf. The high bust and shoulder straps would have supported the breasts during sports as well.
