CHUCK HOWARD
(b. 1927) Charles "Chuck" Howard's first job in fashion was at David Crystal as a sketcher. In the late 1950s we was a designer for Richard Cole. During the 1960s he worked for Bill Blass, Anne Klein, and in the late 60s he ended up at Townley. He also was designing under his own label, and was doing designs for Vogue patterns. In 1974 he returned to Anne Klein to design their Anne Klein Studio line. Howard designed menswear as well. Along with partner Peter Wrigley, he designed under the Mark of the Lion label in the mid 1970s. |
