GLENGARRY

Glengarry, formed in 1946 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, was a manufacturer of everyday ladies clothing specializing in suits and related separates in classic, conservative styles.  These were specified as "Glentran Knits," and the fibre content was commonly 60% Orlon Nylon/40% Antron Acrylic. The suits were produced in various weave styles with the same fabric content, and several variations on the same suit style are typical finds. Most styles included jacket, skirt, and matching shell. For example, two suits may have the same textured weave, but one may have a notched collar and one may have a convertible collar.
