Domenico Dolce (1958-) & Stefano Gabbana (1962 -). These two Italian men first worked together in the early 1980s. In 1985 they formed their partnership and had their first show in Milan. From the beginning their designs have been overtly sexy. In the 1990’s, they began putting lingerie on the outside of the clothing, a look that was at first popular with rock stars, but then became part of mainstream fashion.
