DALTON
Dalton was a famous American cashmere maker, headquartered in Willoughby, Ohio. The company was founded in 1951 as Dalton Industries, and was run by Ken and James Dery. They became well known for their high quality cashmere sweaters, and they also made coordinating separates such as skirts, slacks and blouses.
In the 1980s the company became mainly a maker of mid-priced sportswear, with labels such as Dalton Sport (1982), Dalton Studio (1985), and Lady Dalton (1985). The business closed in 1986.
