MARTHA MANNING
Martha Manning Originals was one of the many clothing manufacturers based in St. Louis, Missouri. Formed in 1939, they specialized in dresses for mature women. As they put it in a 1946 advertisement: "Martha Manning Original are scientifically fashioned to wish away pounds and years. You appear taller, slimmer, lovelier... the you, you want to be, in a Martha Manning."
