WOLFGANG JOOP

(1944) Wolfgang Joop's fashion career began as editor at German fashion magazine Neue Mode in 1970.  He soon moved into free-lance writing and designing.  The first line designed under his own name was a line of furs starting in 1978.  In 1981-2 he started his famous Joop! ready-to-wear line., and three years later, added  a men's line.  Joop sold the Joop! label in 2001.  Today he designs a line established in 2004, Wunderkind.
