BULLOCK'S WILSHIRE
Bullock's department store was established in 1907 by John G. Bullock. In 1929 Bullock and partner P.G. Winnett opened a luxury version of the store, which was located on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The store was housed in a beautiful art deco building, and offered only the best.
In the 1970s, the apostrophe was dropped from the name. The Wilshire Boulevard store was closed in 1993, but other branches remained open until they were converted to I Magnin stores in 1990. The building has been restored and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
