There is a new feature to the Vintage Fashion site! On any page of the site, just look to the left for this link (click to check it out!)...
And voila! Type in what you're looking for and you will find not only a plethora of items relevant to your search BUT you will be able to shop knowing that the seller's are vetted members of the Vintage Fashion Guild! Sweet? Indeed. We're still tweaking it so keep checking back as we add members and we all work on our listings to make sure you find what you need!

VFG trade member, Lizzie Bramlett of fuzzylizzie.com, will present the second workshop of our 2008 series beginning on Monday, June 23 and continuing through June 25. It promises to be an interesting workshop! All attendees are invited to have their sportswear questions ready and even scan their photos of vintage sportswear to share during the event. The workshop is free to the public and can be accessed on the Workshop Forum of the Vintage Fashion Guild.
June 23-25, 2008: American Sportswear
Monday, June 23: The workshop will start with a brief historical overview and go on to discuss bathing suits.
Tuesday, June 24: Lizzie will explain how sportswear evolved in private situations, such as women's colleges and summer camps.
Wednesday, June 25: Day three will be devoted to active sportswear (tennis, bicycling, golf, hiking, skiing) and how active sportswear spilled over into the everyday lives of women. Sportswear greats, such as Claire McCardell, Carolyn Schurner and Tom Brigance, will be mentioned.
Additional workshops are planned in August, October, and December, 2008.

The Vintage Fashion Guild has just published its newest fashion article, Spring 2008 Vintage Inspirations. Given that fashion usually follows styles from yesteryear, the VFG began in 2005 with its Vintage Inspirations feature. Members contribute vintage fashion that follows the trends for that Season. Be sure to check out our newest Vintage Inspirations on the homepage of vintagefashionguild.org.
