ORRICK, MILDRED Print E-mail
Written by fuzzylizzie.com
MILDRED ORRICK

Mildred Orrick trained at Parsons School of Design where she became friends with Claire McCardell. After working as a sketch artist and illustrator, and as a designer with Joset Walker, Orrick designed under her own name for Janice Milan from 1945 into the 1950s. During the mid 1950s she worked at Anne Fogarty, and when Claire McCardell became ill in 1957, Orrick stepped in at Townly to help her complete her last collection. Mildred Orrick finished her career at Villager, where she designed from the late 1950s to the late 60s.
