Written by fuzzylizzie.com
EMMANUELLE KHANH

(1937-) Khanh got her start in fashion as a model at both Givenchy and Balenciaga. In 1962 she joined with fellow model, Christiane Baily to form the Emma Christie label. She was often called the "French Mary Quant," and she was known for her modern and youthful designs. She designed for the Puritan label, "Youthquake" in the middle 60s, and she also freelanced for Carlette in the USA and Cacharel, Missoni, Krizia and others in Europe.

The Emmanuelle Khanh label was launched in 1971. She was known for her large rimmed glasses, and starting in the 1970s she has also designed glasses frames.
